Account, free limits, and Eidograph Pro
An account is optional. Signed out, both 2D/3D dialects, every drawing tool, projects, undo, multi-select, and .eido save/open remain available and unmetered. Sign-in synchronizes server-verified Pro entitlement and enables in-app purchasing.
Sign in with an email code
- Open Settings › Account.
- Enter your email and choose Send code.
- Read the email, enter the verification code, and choose Sign in.
- The Account page shows the email, Free/Pro status, and current entitlements.
There is a 60-second wait before another code can be sent. Access tokens refresh automatically; an invalid session asks you to sign in again. Sign out clears the local account session but does not delete project files.
Daily Free allowances
Only three actions that leave the app or use a shared interface are counted per local calendar day:
| Feature | Current production/test setting | Charged when |
|---|---|---|
| SVG / PNG / GIF exports | 5/day | an export succeeds |
| In-app Agent messages | 5/day | one user message is sent |
| MCP / REST tool calls | 25/day | an external tool actually executes |
Allowances reset at local midnight. Tool discovery does not count as an API call. A release can change its limits, so the values shown in Settings › Account, the export dialog, and Agent composer are authoritative for the installed build.
Reaching a limit never locks geometry or projects. Only that export, message, or external call pauses until the next reset or until the account gains Pro.
Buy Pro
Eidograph Pro is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. After signing in, a build with store billing shows Buy Eidograph Pro:
- Windows uses a Microsoft Store durable add-on;
- Android uses a Google Play one-time product.
Store ownership evidence is submitted to the Eidograph Token Server. The client never grants entitlement from a successful store dialog alone; only a verified pro entitlement in server account status removes the limits.
Restore entitlement on another device
Install the production build, sign in with the same Eidograph email used for the purchase, then choose Refresh status in Settings › Account. A server-verified Pro entitlement follows the Eidograph account and does not require buying again on every device.
If the store says you own the product but Account still shows Free:
- Confirm the original Eidograph email is signed in.
- Confirm Microsoft Store or Google Play uses the store account that owns it.
- Check the network and choose Refresh status.
- Do not compare entitlement between test and production environments.
- If it still fails, contact support with app version, platform, purchase time, and order information.
Offline behavior
A successfully fetched account state is cached locally. A temporary network failure does not revoke known Pro access mid-session; the app checks again in the background at most once per day. Initial sign-in, purchase, and recovery of an unlinked entitlement still require a connection.
