Overview

Eidograph is a geometry workspace for creating and editing 2D and 3D construction documents. This policy explains how the browser and installed desktop versions of Eidograph handle information.

Eidograph does not require an account to use its free features, and Metaphor Projects does not collect, sell, or share your workspace content. Signing in with your email address is only needed if you choose to purchase or restore Eidograph Pro, as explained below.

Data Stored on Your Device

Your workspace, geometry scripts, project settings, display preferences, and optional agent conversations are stored locally on your device or in your browser’s local storage. When you save or export a project, the file is created where you choose to save it.

Metaphor Projects does not receive access to this locally stored content. You can remove browser-stored data through your browser settings or remove saved files from your device.

Eidograph Pro is an optional paid upgrade. To buy Pro, restore a prior purchase, or use Pro features across more than one device, you sign in with your email address:

You enter your email address and Eidograph sends you a one-time verification code. No password is created or stored.
Your email address and an account identifier are sent to and stored on our account server (operated by Metaphor Projects on Cloudflare) so that your Pro entitlement can be verified and restored on any device where you sign in.
The purchase itself is processed by the app store you bought Eidograph from — Google Play or Microsoft Store. Eidograph and Metaphor Projects do not receive or store your payment card number or other billing details; the store shares only a purchase/transaction identifier, which our account server uses to verify and grant Pro entitlement to your account.
We do not use your email address for marketing and do not sell or share it with third parties. It is used only to operate sign-in and Pro entitlement.
You can sign out of your account at any time from the app’s settings, which removes the session from your device. To have your account and email address deleted from our server, contact us at [email protected].

If you never sign in, no email address or account data is created, and the free features of Eidograph work fully offline.

Optional AI Provider Connections

Eidograph can connect to an AI provider only if you add and select a provider in the app’s settings. In that case, the prompts, project context, and other content needed for your request are sent directly from your device to the provider and endpoint you configure. API keys and connection settings are stored locally on your device.

Metaphor Projects does not operate this connection or receive your API keys, prompts, or provider responses. The selected provider’s privacy policy and terms govern its handling of information. Do not send content to a provider unless you are comfortable with that provider handling it.

Optional Local MCP / REST Server

The installed desktop app can run an MCP / REST server when you enable it. By default, it listens only on your device. You may choose to allow access from other devices on your local network.

Requests made to that server can read or modify the figures you expose to it and are processed on your device. Eidograph does not relay those requests through Metaphor Projects servers or transmit their contents to us. Enable local-network access only on networks you trust, and expose only the figures you intend external clients to access.

Information We Do Not Collect

Eidograph does not use advertising networks, analytics SDKs, tracking technologies, or crash-reporting services. Other than the email address and account identifier described above for Pro sign-in, we do not collect device identifiers, location data, usage analytics, payment card details, or the contents of your projects.

Third-Party Services

Except for AI providers or endpoints you explicitly configure, and the app store (Google Play or Microsoft Store) used to purchase Eidograph Pro, Eidograph does not integrate third-party online services. Platform providers, app stores, browsers, operating systems, and any AI provider you choose may handle information under their own privacy policies.

Children’s Privacy

Eidograph does not knowingly collect personal information from children. The free version of the app does not require an account or collect personal data. Signing in to purchase Eidograph Pro requires an email address and is not directed at children; children should not use this sign-in feature without a parent or guardian.

Data Security

Your local data is protected by the security of your device, browser profile, and any network or third-party service you choose to use. Keep your device secure, avoid sharing API keys, and use trusted networks when enabling the local MCP / REST server. If you sign in for Eidograph Pro, your email address and account identifier are stored on our account server with reasonable technical safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as Eidograph changes. If we do, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Eidograph after an update means you accept the revised policy.
