OverRec is committed to protecting your privacy. This privacy policy explains how OverRec handles data when you use our screenshot and overlay application.

Data Collection

OverRec does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal data.

We do not collect personal information, user account data, browsing history, location data, device identifiers, analytics, usage statistics, crash reports, or any screenshots or captured content.

Local Data Storage

OverRec operates entirely on your local device and only stores application settings locally:

  • Window positions and sizes
  • Selected drawing mode (Free, Docking, or Fixed)
  • Rectangle color preference

These settings are stored locally on your device and never transmitted anywhere.

Screenshots are temporarily held in system memory only during the capture process, then immediately copied to your system clipboard. No permanent storage of screenshot content occurs.

Network Connectivity

OverRec does NOT require an internet connection. No network requests are made, no data is sent to external servers, and no telemetry or reporting features exist.

Third-Party Services

OverRec does NOT integrate with any third-party services — no advertising networks, analytics platforms, cloud storage, social media, or external APIs.

System Permissions

OverRec only requests the minimal permissions necessary for operation:

  • Screen Capture — to take screenshots of selected areas
  • Clipboard Access — to copy screenshots to your system clipboard
  • Window Management — to display the overlay and control windows

Children’s Privacy

OverRec is safe for users of all ages. No personal information is collected, no account creation is required, and there is no advertising.
